Gayà: “We only think about winning, I ask the fans to help us, we're going to give it all”

As a child he dreamed of playing for Valencia CF, little by little he covered stages inside the academy and now he is only a few hours away from being able to make it to his first ever final. José Luis Gayà is one of the leaders of Valencia CF on and off the field, a few days ago he wore the captain's bracelet for the first time as a starter, this Wednesday he speaks to VCF MEDIA exclusively hours before the match against Real Betis.

How is the team?
The team are feeling good. We're looking forward to the game. We're very excited about the chance of getting to a final, as it's been a long time since the club did that. We are close, but we have 90 minutes ahead of us. The aggregate result is in our favour, but we know that Betis are a great team who play very well and who press very well when they lose the ball. We are Valencia CF, we're playing at home in front of our fans, and we are going to try not just to go through but also to win the game, so that the fans can cheer a victory and we can celebrate reaching the final together.

What kind of match do you expect?
Betis will have possession in many moments, we have to be well involved, take advantage of the opportunities we have and with the push and encouragement of the fans will be easier. I have no doubt that we will leave everything we have to be in the final and give a joy to the fans, because after a strange year, being in a final would be amazing.
